Front dampers/bushes upgrade and power steering

I've had my front dampers changed for adjustable avo ones, had all the bushes at the front changed for polyuthrane ones and had the Steve Heath ARB drop links fitted.

The handling is soo much better now, the only problem is that the steering now 'groans' at low speed, I think due to the hydralics having to work harder against the now firmer suspension. The car has had both UJs for the steering replaced as well.

Has anyone else found this? Is there any solution? Fitting a better rack?

It might just be the belt - try putting a couple of drops - no more - of neat washing-up liquid on it. This will cut through any grease on the belt (works for the fanbelt too).

Don't do this with the engine running or you might lose a finger!

Thanks, should the detergent go on the inside toothed part or the outside of the belt? And does it need a little across the whole length of the belt?
