newbie with R34 GTR converting to noble

firstly hi to everyone, pretty new to this forum, i have been looking around it for a few weeks trying to decide to take the plunge and risk selling my beloved skyline to try something different.
finally decided to give it a go (skyline is up for grabs if anbody interested) and try a noble. pretty much decided on a 3R as the model of choice.
would appreciate any comments, advice or perhaps comments from others who have converted from skyline to noble.
maybe there is soembody out there wanting to convert from a noble to a skyline, one never knows ones luck!
will be browsing the pages with interest over the coming weeks

I sold my Skyline R34 GTR last year with a stage 1. The Skyline is a great car but feels like a barge in comparison. If u want a complete adrenalin rush then the noble won't let you down. I've had my Gto-3 for a few weeks and keep making any old excuses to go for a blast.
Every passenger whose been in my Noble have said its faster, more agile and overall a better car. Must say i agree lol. Take the plunge you won't regret it.

so ive made me mind up, i have done the ground work on selling the skyline and have found a dealer here in germany that will get it registered here and sell it on my behalf. they are rare as hell here so it wont be hard to shift.
i work with the army over here will have to put the skyline back on its uk plate before i sell it which will mean a trip back to the uk to sort paperwork out but thats just all procedures.
so.... with a bit of luck when i come to the uk for a planned holiday in august i will be looking for a 3R so if anybody is thinking of selling let me know.
also i will have to convert the headlights to left hand drive either by permanent modification or by exchange, any advise??

Headlamps are fixed beam AFAIK so it should be "just" a case of realigning them with the adjuster screws.
It is a pain in the A
SE job as you have to un-seal the headlamp pods from underneath the front clam. Then it is an endless open the clam...turn this screw...shut the clam... check beam... open the clam... turn that screw (on four beams)etc, I converted mine to HID lighting as the standard beams are a little dissapointing.
At this point it might be worth mentioning once you have finished aligning the lights to drop a silicone gel pack into each pod before you seal them up, this will prevent the all too common misting on the inside of 3r/M400 headlamps.

To be honest they are not very powerful so you shouldn't get any grief. sadly when i register the car with the army VLO in germany i have to pass a light test to show i have headlights which have the triangular pattern pointed to the other side as per LHD or a set of lights which produce a flat beam with no triangular pattern.
with my skyline i opened the lights and removed the part of the reflector which produces the triangle thus making the beam flat. if that makes sence
i reckon it will invovle taking the noble lights apart and doing a simular mod. hope they come open ok? suppose it is screws/clips removal warm up in oven and pull apart???

Glad to see you're still thinking about getting a Noble - you won't be disappointed. I went to a GTROC members event at North Weald the other week. Most people quite liked the Noble

checked with my testing station today, lucky i did really as as from march 2008 the headlight laws will change for us Brits in Germany.
a flat beam will no longer be allowed and the lights MUST produce the full triangular pattern of the beam on the other side from UK cars.
ie LhD lights which have the triangular upstand part of the pattern on the right side of the beam pattern.
this will mean, either buying LhD lights from the US market or if i am lucky maybe i will be able to take the lights apart and change / modify the internal reflector to reverse the pattern. i probably wont know more until i can get a peek at a set of lights to see how the beam pattern is made, unless some kind chap can offer advice or maybe post a nice close up od a 3R headlight.
