Pistonfest news

Three weeks to go and the sun is shining!

There’s just three weeks to go before PistonFest 2007, and we’re feeling particularly optimistic as we peer out of the PH bunker on another beautiful sunny day. Fingers crossed that the weather lasts.

Once again we’re running alongside the Stingray 24 hour 2CV race, which if nothing else is an ideal warm-up for any Le Mans expeditions – consider it a shake down event for beer, tent and other Le Sarthe necessities.

However, we’ve also got track time at our Snetterton venue booked for you on the Sunday morning (£45 a session), and a whole host of games lined up: imagine the joys of ‘how far can you throw a 2CV wheel’, the ‘PH pit stop challenge’ and of course, the ubiquitous ‘quickest pint drunk’ competition. And if all else fails, there’s always the ‘how many Porsche 956/962 liveries can you name’ game against your Editor. Still, don’t let that put you off…

Tickets for this weekend of fun, cars, beer and sun (we hope) are still available and cost £35 (or £15 for one day) from the PH shop. We'll see you there.

I hope the weather is better than last year. I dont think anyones car will swallow the gazebo though

Is it just me, or every time I look at the calendar, have the people who are going stayed exactly the same for a good couple of months?

I have no idea how many tickets are up for grabs, but I reckon PF needs a bit more plugging in the Forums?

Still............. can't wait to go! Now going on Friday evening, so should get first choice on pitching up next to an all female tent

assuming there are plenty of females going?

Hmm..

Good point - More people to get pissed and have a laugh with.

Bad point - More people wanting to get on track and queuing in the beer tent.

I am undecided as to the notion of plugging the event further!
