Used car price
Discussion
I don't know about the value, A good place to start is look in the Sunday Times for the prices being asked for similar cars, but obviously once you've worked out a price, advertising it on Pistonheads in the classifieds free of charge would be a good start.
Something else that springs to mind is that I recently (last month or so) received a letter from my OPC saying they were keen to buy cars in. The dealership in question is the two Dick Lovett OPCs in Swindon and Bristol. The chap who signed off the letter was from memory called Duncan Watts. Your car maybe above average miles for normal forecourt cars, but it sounds a good spec and it is the updated model.

A tough car to price to be fair with the mileage and these cars do have a high all in price compared to a more common C4.coupe...
The problem with private is the price,,,I have advertised my 02 facelift.....When i say price I mean ammount of money,,,whatever it is,but above £40-50k for example,it seems buyers prefer to buy from a dealer for the convenience of trade in,Security (?) Even though the cars may be new enough to still have a warranty,it is hard work privately.
I have priced mine very competitively and am in no rush,,,always have a bit of room in it so the buyer thinks they have cut you to the bone.....and get ready for dreamers who call saying they might come round because they are getting £60k next week...SO impressed!

Boyfly, best way to value it is to phone at least 3 OPC
buyers (from Sunday times)& then add 5-6k for retail OPC price, private sale is between the two. From my experience it is hard to sell a car privately at this price point, all I had was a couple of tyre kickers & a thousand dealers trying to steal the car for silly money !! Having said this nothing ventured etc etc. but last time I sold my facelift C2 didn't even bother to try & advertise privately, I just phoned around all the OPC's although most (suspect....cartel!!?)appear to price the car the same, there is always the odd one in the market for your car who will pay a little more & there is no hastle they just turn up with a draft & collect from your door. For what it's worth I think you will get bids of "circa" 50k. Best of luck
