I recieved an NIP about three weeks ago, I haven't sent it back yet as I have been looking into the not signing loophole. If I am to meet the 28 dealine they must recieve it by the 15th so I guess I should be sending it back right about now. Question, is it too late to send it back unsigned now ie can they say that I didn't return it in time if it isn't signed but recieved the deadline ?

I probably don't want to go down the going to court and pleading not guilty route but was hoping that if they recieve an unsigned NIP it might influence them to offer a fixed penalty rather than me going to court and getting a bigger fine and possibly 6 points (Was doing 77 in a 50).

As long as they recieve it back the first time within 28 days your okay. The time after that were they will spend arguing with you about taking the points is not an issue.
