Want to get a paint thickness meter any recommendations ???, It needs to work on fibreglass bodies as well if that is possible.

Bargain, I'll take two!

Does anyone really need one? I've never heard of anyone actually polishing through the top coat to the base coat!

When you think that the clear coat on most cars is thinner than a sheet of paper, many cars I work on cost well over £100,000, not knowing if someone has tried polishing the car before, and a small mistake could wreck your business. They are very important to me.

ps I have seen alot of cars with clear coat damage from valeters, some on very expensive cars as well.

Even some of the pros have made mistakes

I'm almost scared to tackle the swirl marks on my car now!

I take your point though! Not worth the rist on an expensive finish.
