If you found a 996 C4S with 60K miles on, but a good spec and colour combination, with warranty, at a sensible price, would the miles put you off?

I know the car can take the miles, more a question of shaaaaaaaafting time come trade-in/up

My 996 C2 had getting on for that mileage when I bought it. To be fair you would never hav known it as it felt like new. I think it is more important to buy on condition than anything else so as long as it has been looked after with all the usual documentation then you should be OK!

Has to be a great price as after say 2-3 years driving adding 30k miles and the car creeping towards 100k miles - I wouldnt and i dont know anyone who would buy it for anywhere near what i assume you are going to pay for it. As for can it take it??, after the last few days on the forum - Not actually sure what a 996 can take hence why an £895 a year warranty seems to be compulsary when owning a 996.

P.S. I am still buying one basically because there is nothing else outhere close at the price with the same type of performance bar maybe a CSL. Oh and i will be paying the £895 a year warranty.

They seem to benefit from being used.

Doesn't it also matter how many (and what sort of) miles a year you're likely to do in it?

If you know a Porsche dealer reasonably well, why not ask them to give you a rough guestimate of a bid, assuming it were a year older with a year's worth of your miles on it. This'll give you a ballpark to work on.

60k wouldn't put me off providing the car looked very well maintained, but then I don't think I'm your typical buyer.

Best of luck though!
Victoria.
