Good afternoon,

Our apartment overlooks a piece of waste ground with a 2 lane public road between us and it. The road is a quiet one and is also used as access to the secure carpark in our property. The waste land is just starting to be prepared for development. People park their cars on this side road as it is a normal road with nothing at all saying not to park there.

The development company have put A4 notes on each car parked there saying in a nutshell "Don't park here or your car will be towed away"

Do the developers have any right to make these statements and carry them out??

Perhaps they are warning people that some lorries are going to start arriving and the parked cars may constitute an obstruction. In which case the Police could have them towed away.

They could have put notices on that the vehicles were shortly to be covered in dirt and dust, and be dented and scraped ... but no-one will accept responsibility. Likely to work as effectively - Streaky
