I will buy the next Lara croft game, which is an updated version of the original Tomb Raider, and I rank that as one of my all time faves - but, we have a PC connected to the TV now, and no PS2, and I can't play third person type games with the keyboard and mouse. What would be the best gamepad to get to play this game, or, alternatively, is there a PS2 gamepad adaptor you can buy, that you can use for the PC?

Cheers

You certainly can get USB-Playstation2 adaptors. A quick Google will point you in the right direction. As an alternative, a wired xBox360 controller will plug straight in.

I gave up using specific PC made pads quite a while ago and used
my PS2 pad for ages. Now though i use the Xbox 360 pad as it just plugs
in via USB and works really well.

All the adapters are out there to allow you to connect up these devices
though.I know people who use original xbox and dreamcast pads for racing
games for example because they like the analog gas and braking.

I can't see me moving away from a 360 pad for while though.I am currently
having a crack at (and cheating my way through) resident evil 4 on the pc
using it, even though i have had it on the gamecube since launch in the US.
It works superbly with that too

Thanks, guys, for the info, it looks like an XBox 360 pad should fit the bill very nicely then! I may even give Max Payne another go, too!

Didn't think for a second that the XBox pad would work with a PC! lol

You can get a wireless adaptor (for abotu 10-20quid) that allows you to use wireless 360 devices, gamepads etc, rather than be stuck with the USb ones.

Wireless 360 controllers are ace.

If you have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse the wireless adaptor doesn't seem to work

Just for info the PS3 controller works on the PC. Needs to be connected via USB and you need the driver but once set-up works a treat.
