Where is currently the cheapest place to get an Xbox 360, possibly bundled with a game or two and an extra controller?

I have just bought a premium 360 (used) from Game, for £230. Comes with a year warranty (exactly the same as a new unit) through Game themselves. Any problems in the first year and you can swap the console out at any Game store for a new one.

I didn't see the benefit in buying a new one with an offer like that. Less hassle to take it back to Game and swap it out, rather than returning it to MS and you getting a refurbed unit 3 days later.

What did this come with or was it just the standard package?

That sounds like a very good way to go to be honest.

It was the standard premium pack. The unit itself is totally unmarked, very pleased. All I had to do was to delete the old gamer profiles on the HDD and create my own.

I did get to keep the games they had downloaded from XBox live arcade as well

The pack was a regular premium pack; console, wireless controller, 20GB HDD, headset etc. I bought PGR3 with it for £25.

I've also now got loads of Game reward points that I can put towards an official quick charge battery kit

You may also get lucky and get a forza2 demo to play with this evening!

What is the quick charge battery kit? Is this somewhere to keep your controller over night so it chagres up?

The standard wireless controller takes two AA batteries in a plastic "cage". The quick charge kit is a replacement NI-MH battery that clips straight onto the bottom of the wireless controller, instead of using the cage and AA batteries.

The quick charge kit also includes a mains charger for the replacement battery. The charger can charge two batteries at once, although the quick charge kit only includes one battery.

The alternative is a "play and charge" kit which plugs into your controller whilst you play - kinda defeating the object of it being wireless

I have a play and charge, and it just means that it charges as you're playing and when it's done, you just unplug the lead and go wireless. the battery lasts hours and so I don't need to plug it in often.
