window stuck up, cant open the door any ideas?

passenger window stuck at the top of the door.
the door tries to open but can`t because of the window.
have read the man and notice that the window has stalled [this being because the green light keeps flashing 4 times]
the book said keep trying and it will un stall but its not happening.
its 80 mile to take it back to the dealer, any ideas?

Try winding it down once your sat inside, go in from the other door. and even with the keys not in ign it should wind down. just do this a few times and mine seems to reset itself. Or put some wd40 down the door window gap as the contacts on the plugs get wet if its rained or you washed it causing all kinds of gremlins. If that dont work, you can remove the central console and unplug the door ecu to try and reset it that way. I ended up popping the door card off, cleaning up the plugs with contact cleaner and then sealing them with damp start when putting it all back together.

tried the window from inside and out car running and not,
have been told to try disconecting the battery for a min and hoping it resets
if that does not work I shall go down your route,
still I guess it stops me taking the wife out.
