Maybe not the best thing in the world, but i got stuck knowhere near home or a garage that i new of so bought a bottle of rad weld and it worked a treat. it does not leak now although at the time i lost a full system of water in 45 minutes of driving. A stone must have gone through one of the holes at the front of my tuscan and put a hole in the rad.

May not be a permanent fix but it certainly got me away.

Is that a fitted price ?

A recon rad - well the cheapest is around £110 these days rising to around £200 for a sercheck recon..

Fitting and removal would be a max of 2.5hrs total..

So - £260 does not sound to bad if its a fitted price.

Of course you can always DIY for £110

Just had mine recored with a triple core in copper. £185 + vat.
Superior quality to replacement TVR one and cheaper.
10 degree cooling from inlet to outlet.

Thanks chaps, that price was supply only, not a prob fitting but will explore the recore in more detail, its just a time issue being off the road, while the sun shines !!!!!!!!!!!!

Re-cored rad for £155 from local fim that does work for the offshore industry. About 3hrs of my own time for removal and refit.

Cooler summer driving ahoy!
