New Car

After spending the last few weeks/months lurking around this forum and gleaning as much info as possible finally bit the bullet and got rid of my much loved Impreza.

One week (and a lot of impatience) later have found a 6.0 litre VXR in black which I'm hopefully picking up tommorrow. (very excited right now )

Anyway just wanted to say hi and forewarn all that you I'm likely to be raising 101 questions as I get used it.

One quick question, for a stock model what type of fuel is recommended? Always run the Impreza on Optimax/V-power but not sure if this is needed for the Monaro?

You'll find standard 95 is fine on an unmodified car....

I sold my Impreza STi for the Monaro. Good decision!

The Impreza is awesome of course - this is sort of a more grown up type of awesome as opposed to 'hair on fire' type of awesome....

As B055 said, standard 95 will be ok, not much to be gained out of premium fuel.

Day 1 with Monaro just about complete and have a big grin on my face still. Definitely very different experience to the Subaru.

Disturbingly (at least from a bank account perspective) am already seeing why ripshifters are so popular and starting to hanker after a more chunky exhaust note.
