Just been reading the EVO road and track '07 contest which was won by the 997GT3RS. The track test was done at Cadwell Park where the RS was timed at 1.39.8 which was third overall just 1/10 sec behind a Caterham R400 and 1 sec behind an Arial Atom.

Quite an impressive showing from the RS considering the latter pair boast power-weight ratios of 406bhp/ton & 554bhp/ton respectively and Cadwell is apparently a very tight twisty circuit which logically should favour the lightweight stuff. The RS even beat the Aston Vantage N24 which is closer in concept to a GT3 Cup Car than a road car.

Great car but the 'Kermit the Frog'colour of the test car sucks! Think orange is the best colour for the 997RS.

Nah the green is great!

The n24 is a bit half hearted imho. Still using a wet sumped engine!
