Cant get my head round this one. Bin having Alarm issues ie it going off on its own. Reading related threads the conclusion was that the siren was on its way out. So I decided to disconnect it so at least I could lock the car up again without it annoying the neighbours.

There was I armed with snips and rags and bucket of water cause I was expecting the thing to wail for hours when I snipped the wires........ Nothing! Not a peep.

Am I right in thinking that the siren was in fact well and truly buggered?
