Twin pipes for an S4s?
Discussion
Has anyone had a twin exuast fitted to an S4 or S4s? I believe a few new Esprit S4s's had them fitted as standard in the USA
Hi there, I guy called Alan Croft has a 89turbo and is having a twin tail exhaust done pretty soon. He's on this forum and lives in the UK.
I've also seen a few on these sites both US and UK. Basically do a search on exhausts and you will probably come up with lots of threads as this has been discussed several times.

I just replaced a dual Flowmaster with a Stainless Steel Magnaflow dual on my 91SE. I replaced the Flowmaster due to a loose andrattley baffle inside and 'cause I wanted stainless steel. They both fit the S4/S4s, but you have to cutoff the left rear valence piece and shorten it (much easier than doing the job on an older one like mine.
The Flowmaster was louder for me than the Magnaflow, but they both have nearly identical growl sound. Here's a link to my efforts there, including mpeg soundclips.

The Magnaflow is a 3in/2.5in dual used on Camaro's, part number 14267. The whole job parts/labor for me was $430.
Let me know if you'd like a couple pics of an S4s with 3in tips. Mine are 2-5/8ths. I will say I'm very amazed at how much cooler the Magnaflow muffler feels after a run, probably due to its non-baffle straight thru glass pack type design. And I prefer it due to less cabin resonance.
