Can anyone give me any clues as to what the wiper motor on my Jago might have originally been off of? It's not well... and it's starting to rain again!
Any clue gratefully received.

Hi it depends on what year your Jago is.
If it is an earlier one it will be either Anglia or Mk1 Escort (easy to tell as the wiper motor mounts on the centre of the "shelf" that is the windscreen to body joint. It has two wiper arms and uses the push rod system like most modern cars.)
If it is the later version or has been updated then it is the Lucas system fitted to Minis, Marinas and MG's.
It has a motor which is usually mounted on the bulkhead and uses a rack cable inside of tubing. The tube is linked to the wiper boxes (which the wiper arms attach to). This system is either two or three bladed dependant on the legalities during the build.
