Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini pictures - FIA GT S/Stone
Discussion
Hi there,
Thought you fellow Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini enthusiasts might like to see some pics of the superb FIA GT cars that were out on track at Silverstone yesterday.
The practice sessions were being run on Saturday with the full 2 hour race taking place this afternoon. (its live on Men and Motors channel 131 on Sky if you would like to watch it).
Here are some pics: - (click on them to view the full size image as P/H squashes them)
Lamborghini Murcielago - 2 of these in the race.
Maserati MC12 - there are six of these running in total
Superb to see a Ferrari 575 out again.
Another pic of the Lambo
Ferrari F430 - driven by Nigel Mansell.
Last one of the Murcielago for now
Hope you guys like these, will post some more later.
Regards
Tim

Them Lambos were mighty, they even shamed the ferraris for sound. Though the ferraris were great in the first GT race yesterday (saturday) with a one two.
But that bloody f40 that was there was crap in the 90s class. It was running a 550 V12 instead of the Twin turbo V8. That threw out its handeling as well as the gearbox crunching every gear.
Pi55 poor turn out in the Ferrari owners club area with only two cars there. I had a great blast in me fezzer on the way down there with a Corvett
Nice pics by the way dude.

Hi there,
Unfortunately I was over near Abbey/Bridge when the Maserati spun, I did see the spin as it happened just in front of the Brooklands suites but was on my way out of the circuit. I watched the marshals pull the car out of the gravel trap with the JCB but decided not to walk over to the pits to check out the damaged car.
Thanks for posting the pics.
Regards
Tim

I thought the Ford GTs and the Corvettes stole the show sonically. The Lambos did sound awesome too to be fair.

Poor turnout from Maser owners too, I only saw one in the carpark (and it wasn't mine).
