Does anyone have a direct contact e-mail address for someone fairly senior/high-up at Porsche GB? A specific e-mail for a human being would be really helpful. You can PM me if you'd prefer. Many thanks

Yes I guess there are quite a few people that want someone to bark at hehe

The reason why I'm after it, is because I been trying to buy a 997 GT3 RS since late last year and 2 differen't dealers (I should clarify, non-OPC's) have fart-arsed about and now I've finally been told by an OPC that I don't stand a cat in hells chance of getting a new one to my spec. So understandably p**ssed off, I've gone and ordered a new Lambo Gallardo Superleggera instead, which I know is definitely arriving - and has been confirmed, etc.

Thing is, I still really fancy a 997 GT3 RS in green with black, so basically wanted to contact someone with half a brain within Porsche GB to see if theres anything that can be done - probably not, but thought I'd give it go.

I'm probably about to ask a really silly question, but how come all the problems? I presumed you went to a dealers put down a deposit and that got you a build slot and probably a very long wait?

Why go to non-OPCs for a new model? These guys can't guarantee you a car, as you've found out, and if they do get you one then you'll be bent over money wise in the process. Given that Porsche GB don't like independents at all (they create the hyped after market for the cars), what response do you expect from them?

A friend of mine has just bought his specced up 997 Turbo from a non-OPC and saved just under £10k, so it's fairly obvious why anyone would look at this as an option.

I don't expect Porsche GB to do anything about the non-OPC dealers, I would simply hope that they could let me know of any cancelled orders and at which OPC's.

To be frank, Porsche sales have slipped recently (inc the 911) when most of their competitors sales have increased. I would sincerely hope that with a customer waving £100k under their nose, they would at least try to find a car - even if it wasn't an ideal spec. But hey, I suppose I could be wrong, possibly the reason why Audi R8, Aston Vantage, Lambo Gallardo sales are all doing well.
