I was at Duxford on Saturday for the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Battle of Britain Memorial flight.

It was an excellent day although shame the weather wasnt that great.... Here are a couple of pics I took. Have played with them quickly but i'm sure i can improve them given some time...!!

Beautiful pictures, I've always loved Spitfires and the Lancaster bomber.

The whole day was dedicated to 'The Few' that fought for and defended our country....

We all owe them a great debt of gratitude, and to see these planes flying in tribute is a wonderful experience.

All the planes you see flying in the last photo are every aircraft owned by the BBMF. None of them are Duxford aircraft. The lineup i was told was something that would probably never be seen again.

What a wonderful thing to see. I'm really, really jealous!

It does make you proud to see all those iconic aircraft lined up like that. We need a bit more national pride.

Ahh! Is that what was going on!

I'm pretty sure this one flew over my house this morning - it was definitely a Spitfire with the invasion stripes (is that what they are?), but I'm not sure if it was this exact one!

Wedge - like #3 best - the detail and the contrast with the field is lovely (#1 looks a little over-exposed, but cool idea).

Freddies Dad - spot on with the stripes.

Exposure - yes.

Others...that bottom Hurri pic is lovely! Quite like the formation one as well.
