Can we have shortened URLs back please?

Please could we have the feature back that shortened the visible URLs without affecting the link to avoid pages becoming massively wide? I know the last version of the forum software did it but this one doesn't seem to.

This is the kind of thing I am talking about www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=388461 Sciroccology's multimap URL causing the page to be mahooooooooooooooooooooosive.

is this something to do with my Blackberry view goint ot pot
at work.

I'd only just established a view i like

I've not changed any BB settings its only since the changes here
and bloody annoying actually

That part of the code hasn't changed yet, but a more robust version that should catch all URLs is undergoing testing currently.
