Recently decided to sell my current tvr for a sag and can't believe how quick they're selling.

Looks like you have to be quick to view and decisive otherwise they're gone.

So who bought the Blue Sag from HHC/Drivestyle ? I knew I should have got the cheque book out when I test drove it instead of walking away to think about it

I think the question we should be asking is, how much are they selling for?

Having first hand witnessed the VERY low prices being offered for them, I would be very interested to know how much people are selling them for against what theyt actually have them markep up at.

Thats v.good question.
Some on here must've sold to dealers, perhaps they can post markup values ?
Are the higher dealer prices worth the difference from buying private ?
I know they they have to give warranties and I personally would expect a dealer car to be perfect in every way (no paint chips or damaged wheels etc) but is it worth 10K+ for the same age car with similar spec ?
It would be interesting to know how much they actually go for too, it's one thing a dealer asking £50,000 but what do they actually get ?

Then again, looking at it from a different angle, if the buyer is happy with the price does it matter ?
Yep, I know the answer to the last question.

Unfortunately anyone wanting to p/ex is caught from both sides, poor offer for their old car against another which has probably a high markup

Is a 18month old sag woth £50,000 ? Thats most likely up to the buyer

This will probably be past it's "sell by date" ( no pun intended! ) but I sold P17 RKE Sagaris last July 06 to a dealer for £35K cash. This was by far the best offer we had at the time and we never should have sold etc, but it went for £39995 a few weeks later to a very nice man in Essex. So, the dealer had to clean/check/rectify?/advertise/wash/store/warranty/see off tyre kickers and test pilots/supply tea and biscuits/pay rent/put in petrol/clean again etc for £5K. I know David Hendry sat on his demo Sagaris for around 15mnths, so that's a lot of biscuits!!! I would be interested in any other "deals done" as well. Honesty please, gentlemen!

Bought the grigio one on here for £34k, bear in mind it requires a service and an oil leak fixing. No warranty either as its a private purchase. These cars are priced right at the moment and perhaps its that Summer feeling thats boosting sales.

Hang on tho, there were only around 16 of these for sale last week 3 were bought. Thats no biggy is it?

That sounds about spot on for the time - unfortunatley with recent events Sags are now being underwritten by dealers for around £25k-£30k(absolute tops!) due to the length of time they are hanging around. Good news for new buyers, but where do you draw the line?!? I'm in the market to get back into a TVR again, but after losing so much money on my last one (sold before the price crash/factory closure), I can't bring myself to do it again no matter how much I want to! £30k is still a hell of a lot of money!

Don't suppose you have seen the new Harry Enfield character?

It was a great purchase. Saved myself £26k by not buying a 360 :-)
