Anyone suggest a decent one for use with the top down? Every one that I've ever bought is either cr@p topless or has just stopped working after a few months.

Hi Lee, I currently use a Jabra X10 and it works great, there is a gell pack for the Jabra headsets which will make long term usage more comfortable.

I'd recommend the Plantronics 510. It can bond to more than one device simultaneously and it has a crude but effective wind shield that fits over the microphone. Having said this I think my Sag has some kind of ionising radiation shield built in as it's impossible to make or receive intelligible calls while I am in it under any circumstances.

Another vote for the Jabro here..Its not the most comfortable but does work.
Oh, it also has vibration alert too, which is a godsend as I can't here a damn thing over my eight track stereo

Thanks David, I'll give that one a try.

It might be the 510 rather than the Sag, else I have the same shielding in my Tam! The 510 Voyager was my last foray into headsets and it's sitting in it's box waiting for me to get around to returning it!

Nope - it's the same in the Sag with or without using a headset - just using the handset is no better. My 510 was perfect - still is (but not in the TVR). Bought two Jabra's and they both "expired" after about 2 months use - just stopped working. I also found the static and background interference intolerable on both, wherever I used them.
