A few select cuts from an hour of footage. Finishing off with a 'walk round' the GTW.

You ever had one of those days ? Work p**sing you off ? Problems with your accusump connections ? Missus write off her car on the school run ? Well I can answer yes to all of those today. furious

However,

That video footage was excellent - it's reminded me what the GTR is all about. Great to see so many Ultimas on the road being let off the leash but also being driven sensibly. Well it's cheered me up no end ! So thanks Pete, you've given me the extra imputus to get in the garage and get the final bits on the car done ! yes

Will see you in my own creation in 2008 (or before) so long as it gets past the SVA next month (14 June) .. eek

All the best

Tony

PS - What sort of speed did you guys travel at ? I saw a Golf go past you all at some stage, but I also saw Wayne (and others) disappear like an exocet a number of times ... Also, did you have in car comms - the friendly policeman on the inside lane must have thought his numbers had come in until you all went past him at 70.

Like, we're gonna answer that!

Put it this way, you had the PG rated version. The Amigos decided anything fruitier might be bad for your health

When driving in Ultima convoy, you communicate using telepathy!!

PS. Highways Agency not Police.

Thank you very much for the video. It's really impressive to see all those Ultimas together. Wish I'd be there..

It's really nice the meetings you have in UK! (I suppose all "cavallino's", "Bulls", "porkers" and other "exotics" avoid the roads arround that day! ja, ja)

Hope in the near future I'll be able to join one of those fantastic meetings.

I knew that they existed but did not really know why until Sunday. There we were, Kev and I scratching our heads at the side of the M40 standing next to what we believed to be at the time a broken down GTW and having almost gotten of at J11 when who should pull up? The HA boy's that we had passed just minutes before. Very nice guys and they towed us onto an industrial estate in Banbury, gave me a pen, paper and a map, wished us well and went about their business, well handy yes Apparantly they exist to help ease the burden put upon the Police concernimg broken down motorists and such causing a potential hazard on the hard shoulder etc. I am all for it, keep up the good work fellas thumbup

Thanks.
I have not gotten around to programing the fual gauge yet ( I have yet to learn how to! ) and because of only doing 50/75 mls at a time until Sunday, it had not been a problem.

Thanks Dave.
Although it was great to see so many Ultimas on the road at one time, it was also a bit surreal, never mind the fact that virtually none of the other road users had ever seen such a sight, I hadn't either!
The GTW proved to be more than just purposeful looking though, ask p hehe

It's quick! I dropped to 4th and stole a march on him, and then 5 secs of hard acceleration later he zooms by at 20mph difference!! And kept going!!

Still, I didn't want to get too close, for fear of flying parts!! Hee-hee!

So you are a Farsher are you, just out of interest, did you leave before the shoosting began? hehe
Sorry for the Austin Powers style quip but it kills me and I just had to say it.
Do you wear thick spectacles? If so, I think that I may have spoken to you: Did you think the show was worth the trip?
