going in this week, it is apparently just a bolt on the runners of the seat to stop it going back as far.

Yes the letter states an additional cover to the mounting as well.. which should rectify the problem when the roof is down.. should probably be able to do it while you wait..

The finished article should look like this:-

I don't know about the bolt on the runners - I had the upgrade done free of charge at my 6000 mile service. The new cowling covers the seat belt completely, so a bolt on the runners wouldn't add anything. Read the lettgter - it's all to do with the folded roof preventing the belt from running freely. Make sure this is what you get!

I received the letter last week as well even though I had all the work done at the factory in February!
From the letter is doesn't sound as if you get the full mod which includes the full length bison cover. The letter states that "additional cover to the mounting" is needed and will be "fitted in 30 minutes by your dealer".
To get the full mod your dealer will need to order the correct colour bison (or leather) beforehand.
I'd talk to your dealer and insist on the full mod.
Cheers.... Andrew

I took mine in yesterday for full cowlings to be fitted. This is "not" covered by warranty. I have been quoted approx £155.00 for the modification which will also include some recutting of the carpet as well. I am trying to get a reduction in cost as I feel my dealer will be able to claim at least half an hour in time for warranty on the back of the recall notice which I have handed in. I do not believe that they will need to fit the recall caps if full cowlings are fitted.

Yes, Nick, it was covered with matching bison. You should insist on the full cover, as the little plastic cap that one or two people had on, doesn't solve the problem of the seat trapping the belt lower down.
