Advice on buying 106 Quicksilver

I've been asked to look at a car local to me as the buyer is 160 miles and doesn't want a wasted or double journey

The car is a 2001 106 Quicksilver with 80,000 on the clock it will get a cam-belt and service at purchase

Is there anything I should particularly look out for on this particular model please?

Anyone got a photo of a STANDARD 106 Quicksilver from 2001 please?

Sorry bud,my brothers girlfriend sold hers on saturday morning.
2002 with 37k on it.It went for 3k.
Sound little cars IMO.

Nice cars, too new for me tho' I like 1970s & 1960s classics (but not the hassle that comes with them)

have a good look at the gear box links ,and see what the clutch is like there quite difficult to change and very expensive , in labour costs, also the trim gets tatty

18 year old son of our a club member already had a 106 1.1. The Quicksilver is a 1.4 for same insurance group (GTI extras without the engine, I think)

He's down Saturday to collect the car from a reputable dealer at a reasonable price, why can't I do that ?

I must remember to ask moderator to close this subject now
