Got a problem with my Tuscan - can anybody help please?

Owned my tuscan now for 2 months - awesome! loved my chimera but the tuscan is just great. Anyway the prob is it is over fueling, when its cold it fires up straight away, when its warm it won't start and comes up with EFI fault. Anybody come across this before? Thanks

sorry mate but I think you should call TVR Power or other dealer for some advise.

When up to temp are the revs higher than usual when you turn the engine off?
How do you know it's over fueling?
Get the coil pack and leads checked out.

Tuscans have a problem that if you fill them right up with fuel the tank evacuation system can suck neat fuel in to the carbon can and then give you a richer mixture and so hot starting problems . If you leave it long enough it would eventualy sort itself out as long as you don`t fill your tank right up . If you want to empty the carbon can of fuel it is located in the front offside wing under the headlamps . David

My Tuscan struggless to start when it's hot too. I was finding that the starter motor was labouring quite a bit before firing up. I had some extra earth straps fitted from engine to chassis and battery to chassis and this has helped. Still struggles a bit when hot but much better than before.

Yes, not least neat fuel dripping out of a pipe at the front (turned out to be some kind of overflow pipe.......)

thats the carbon can overflow pipe as plasticman referred to below. In the front o/s wing.

Also - I bought a book by Steve Heath for maintenance on my Chimera. Does anybody know where I can get something similar for the tuscan? Or does it not exist! cheers

Dont think there is anyhting like the Steve Heath for the Tuscan, when I bought mine I tried to find a bible as I used it all the time with my chimeara.....

I fully filled my tank up for the first time in preparation for a trip to Wales a month ago. The car then started stalling and giving efi fault code 0. Almost blew the cats getting her home through the stall. Needless to say, I had to get a lift to Wales (pissed off) and had to have the fuel drained and filters changed.

Never fill up to clicking!

I drove to Germany yesterday and filled up at every stop, having forgotten
about the advise in this thread.
The car ran fine but I could smell petrol most of the journey.
I guess that this was a simptom of the overflow.
