Croydon - Need somewhere to stay

I'm going to be working in Croydon (CR2) from 4th June to 17th June. I'm posting this as I need to find somewhere to stay, but really want to avoid being stuck in a bland faceless hotel. Ideally something where I can self cater, i.e. there is a kitchen/kitchenette. Does anyone know of anywhere like this, or know of a landlord who would want a wedge of cash for a very short term, incredibly, reliable tennant?

Alternatively, if there are places to stay that aren't similar to Coulsdon Manor, The Hilton, Holiday Inn etc, then I'd be very grateful for any recommendations you have.

I would try the Selsdon Park Hotel - in CR2 and as nice as hotels get in the area unless you are spending big money.

My wedding reception was held there.

If I added in the words, GSoH, Single, can cook, do you think they've have time to get something built by June?
