Failed L Test .. Passed Breath Test!
Discussion
German L-driver was taking his driving test. His examiner felt something was very "wrong" in the way he was being "driven" on this test.
He suspected the would-be driver was drunk .. und took him to police station .. where
the L-driver was found to be over three times above drink drive limit.
Ist a good job he spotted this before they did the A/bahn drive
Not a good way to tackle exam nerves..
He should have had camomile tea instead
und sniffed some lavender scent.
(Not that I like that stuff.. smells like sweaty socks to me.. but I will drink with honey und lemon und root ginger to make it palatable
)

Shouldn't the thread title read 'failed breath test' ?
Perhaps .. but I try to "play with words" a bit .. as he obviously failed the L-test.
I always get metaphors a bit mixed
.. und there are still nuances of English lingo which go way above me.
(Especially rudey slang... und I usually get those embarrassingly wrong if I try to use them
) But back to seriousness - there ist also something else about this story which disturb me if the account in the German tabloid ist correct..
The examiner did not stop him from driving .. but directed his drive to the police station where he was made to take a breath test und found to be THREE times above the limit.
Surely .. he should have taken over the driving in interests of safety und I wonder where this examiner stand legally as he was basically supervising someone who was illegally behind wheel of car as he was, in effect, drunk
I wonder what the law ist on this in England... I am sure lieber von
will know - of course
