Lotus Esprit Turbo '88 40th anniversary

I have just bought this Lotus and I wonder how many cars like mine have been built with Dell'Orto's and the wheel on the left side. These cars have been built for Europe because the US cars had electronic ignition.
Obviously, it's fuzzy because 40 cars have been theorically produced but I have the number 46.
It seems that a total of 88 cars have been sold.
