Ive just got back from my honeymoon trip in the GT2 to Capri Italy .
We set off from Herts on the 23rd April and went to places such as Milan,Lake Garda,
Florence,Rome and Capri ( the streets are so narrow in Capri a Smart Car looks big there !
I managed to get the car safetly to the Hotel then hired a scooter )
on the way back we called into Maranello then Innsbruck,Munich and spent the last 3 days
at the Nurburgring !
the GT2 was faultless and ate up the miles without feeling tired - we did not get overtaken by anything at all except an Italian Lamborghini Gallardo fully kitted out with blue lights
on the roof

showed those Italian Porsche drivers how to drive !!!

fabulous car !

Also there was lots of Police at ring when we arrived
and were hidden on the side road to the entrance of the Industrial Park
between the Dorint and the Petrol Station
they pulled over everyone going over 80 km/h
I did not realise the news from the Gumball Rally and can only presume that this had something to do with the heavy police presence

Always good to hear someone using the car, travelling and track, using the car to full potential.

Great itinerary - sounds like a dream trip. Still - in all fairness....I feel a certain sympathy for the wife, as it sort of sounds like you went on a honeymoon with the GT2 and she came along hehe.

ETA - just read your post again. This was just your honeymoon with the car - right? Not your honeymoon honeymoon.

rofl Brilliant. One for the boys' team, I think. Any pictures of the happy couple (i.e yourself and the Porsche)?

Not having a dig btw - I'm totally tickled pink by this.

Should have tried harder. There's a gorgeous castle hotel with amazing views only 30 mins drive away. Had you shown her the website you would have got away with it (then asked to "pop" down the road... )

Edited to add: Or.. there's this gorgeous place offering the most amazing (Michelin star) food in a really nice hotel. www.steinheuers.de/ I got away with using that once. (PS. Expensive though!)

It is Artic Silver

although after a 3200 round trip it needs some TLC with some polish etc
