I liked his quote in MCN today. When asked about Stoner being so calm b4 and after the race he replied "For sure,i would be calm also if i have 25kmh speed advantage!!!"hehe

Randy Mamola said it all "Theres nobody in the world that can get a motorcycle around a corner better/faster the Rossi" bow thumbup Apart from Catalunya (think thats how its spelt??)and Mugello, Rossi should have them beat. We'll see if Mr Stoner can live with Rossi then.

nono

For me, Rossi proved his worth on 500GPs and therefore can stand (at the very least) shoulder to shoulder with these gentlemen.

Hang on a minute, he is already joint 2nd with Doohan on World Championships, has done 5 back to back championships, is only second to Agostini in total race wins and he has not finished yet FFS. He is signed with Yamaha for this and next season at least IIRC.

I must point out that Doohan is my mega hero and Wainey, Schwantz etc werent too shabby either but Rossi is well up there with them.
Thats exactly what we are saying!!! read the thread

rossi aint raced against those guys ,they were racing each other which is no fault of the doctor im a big fan of his all i can say is maybe the quality of his opponents is not of the same standard .he also aint raced on a pre big bang 500 when gp racing was truly hardcore..

We'll never who would be the fastest rider for all the obvious reasons, but that vid is a cracker and Rossi is such an entertainer as well as being a great racer that comparisons are irrelevant to me.

This season is turning out to be a belter!

Gardner,Swantz & Rossi for me...I like the showman in them....good though Doohan was he was so serious a lot of the time...same with Lawson..Gardner was just naturally talented & very dedicated...Luca Cadalora was a great too ,could ride anything blisteringly fast but was far too inconsistent to add him name to the hall of fame...

I think what Fubar46 was intending to mean was that Doohan and Co would be further up the ladder in comparrison than say Stoner??
