owning a domain that has all rights reserved, well sort of
Discussion
I bought an abreviated version of an already existing domain. Not on purpose but it was available and so I bought the .com and .co.uk.
I intended to advertise some of the domains that I own for sale as well as hopefully having other domains offered to me to buy. The other website is toatlly different and is as far as I can make out only used to park (albeit large companies) banners and advertise links.
Do you think I should approach them and ask for permission to use this domain? The biggest problem is I actually want to use the full name (ie, the same as the other domain) on my homepage. Otherwise my abreviation could stand for something else (although it's quite clear what it stands for)
Any advice would be helpful. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I can't use the full name on my homepage but the fact that it's so obvious might get their backs up.

Ive just done a search on www.start.biz/business_names/ and there are no matching trademarks...yet on their webpages they state the following:- Copyright © 2007 xxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx. All Rights Reserved
Is there a difference between copyrighting and trademarking?
