Yes, your wife called me today telling me that she doesn't want you to attend car meets and so I should put the next one on that day so that if you chose any other option, she'd rip your nuts off. That's true love that is. 
Can't you come during the daytime and do the romantic stuff in the evening? I mean what if your anniversary was on a work day? would she expect you to take a day off?

We have a weekend booked in Sussex from Friday to Monday so, unable to move. Its a shame as there are another few events I would like to be doing that weekend as it is.
And yes, I would be expected to take a day off if it was a work day although I probably would not be in too much trouble if I couldn't. Its cos its a weekend see.

I am having enough trouble convincing her that my virtual friends are not a mid life crisis as it is, although I might bring her to the fish and chip run on Sunday. No she is good really, I have my space to drive as and when I want it, she knows that without it I start to convulse terribly and suffer withdrawel...
