Sticker idea.. too much hassle??
Discussion
have been trying to come up with ideas for good stickers for this year.
last year had a union jack on the bonnet which got a great response.
one of my ideas is pictured below

will I get into trouble at customs?? or on the way to dover or even in France??
obviously it will I will not have 'Police' written on my car!!
anybody know how this will be viewed by any authorities I will see on my travels?
thanks

As long as you have so many other stickers on that it is obviously not a police car (what car is it?)
Old wotsisface seems to get away with it every year on the Gumball.

Good point, if I out some other stuff on bonnet/roof it should be different enough?
its a silver 996TT.
I like the idea of this too

yes like the gulf colours! quite expensive to wrap the whole car though.
liking the police expletives also but fear that might also hinder my progress towards Le Mans if I got stopped by the 'Fuzz!'

Put the name for 'Police' on when you get down there. For Friday morning.
And you'll only do it for one year and won't regret doing it once the cars covered.
But yes it'll cost a wad.

Don't think it'll matter if it says Police on the side. No lights etc etc etc. I think you'd get away with it. And it certainly wouldn't matter on the other side of the channel I doubt. Colouring your piece of shite old 309 with Gendarmerie might tho.
yes they probably wont even know what its meant to be.... its the rozzers on this side of the drink that I am concerned about but as I wont have roof lights(i did look for some!) it shouldnt be a prob
I would think that more importantly, the 996 doesn't have the sort of sharp lines that present a clean blue/yellow flank?
The plain white stripe on the Ferrari works because the livery suits the car shape - I am not sure that the "lambo" version would suit the 996.
That said, I reckon it's a great sticker scheme...

This for the win:
And If you went with the police idea. Can't you replace the word police with Cozzers, or Boys in Blue, or Fuzz, Pigs, Filth or any expletives you may wish to express....

Looks like the Ice Pol team are running a ferrari this year, and a quick search of the net shows it as Red, not even the Gulf Colours

I think I'd be careful with that one, its too similar to the car that crashed in the Gumball. Well in my opinion.
I don't think the 612 driver really got away with it. It was an offical publicity stunt with a UK Police force.
You see it on the gumball etc, with cars liveried up with Police.
As long as it isn't a real attempt to copy the local Police vehicles, I would have thought these things are taken with good humour.
