its a nightmare to get off, would you use a buff or will that scratch the paint?

No! i wouldnt machine buff it, apply the polish in thin layers and it wont be so difficult to remove! then go over it with a microfibre cloth!

Zymol...no contest......also something strangely sexual about putting it on with your hands! I think when you've rubbed your car all over it somehow strenghens the relationship!

No, he's right!!

My wife doesn't understand I admit that, but it does mean you know every square inch of the car and is rather satisfying.

Yeh but when the wife asks where you are going & you say "to cover my hands in cream & rub them all over the tight rear end of my one true love" divorce papers might not be far behind (though that would give you then more time to polish the car I guess, every cloud & all that)

I seriously think that Zymol should stretch their brand to offer waxing products for women (and metrosexual boys)... Perhaps then my wife would understand why I insist on treating my pot of Zymol so well (including storing it in the fridge

You too??

I have a spare fridge in my garage just for the Zymol.

Mind you, I am a spanner, according to the wife again!

Not quite sure what you're asking there buddy.......this thread seems to have strayed into peoples recommendations for waxes.....which are not polishes BTW, guys.
Is it polishing advice regarding products and technique (swirl removal and paint correction) you're looking for ? or simply product recommendations for a top/ finishing coat of wax or sealant ?

if you dont wanna fork out loads get some autoglym resin polish topped with meguires number 7 glaze and finaly a layer or 2 or victoria wax. whole lot should cost you about 50 quid and last you for ages. if you want a longer lasting wax get collinite its rock hard so will be a pain in the ass tomicrofibre off but its worth it apparently. Clean your car sell all the above stuff and the dude that runs it is proper so is a place called polished bliss. really good people for referance as its there daily bread!
