Is it possible to remap a 996tt and see gains of about 40/50bhp without raising the boost pressure or does the boost pressure have to be increased to see significant gains?

If you do increase the boost with a remap how much can you safely increase it by?

Cheers

The simple answer is no - you can't have that much on a tt without a boost increase. Technically you probably could with cams, ecu, exhaust etc but this would be so expensive it wouldn't be feasible.

Not sure about the 996tt but on the 993tt you can safely increase boost by 0.1 to 0.2 bar on the standard k16 turbos as long as you retain motronic boost control.

I've read the 996 is easier to get more power from so I'm sure 0.1-0.2 bar increase would be good.

Lots of guys on here and rennlist who have done it - you could also speak to DMS in the uk among others.
