What lens from the states ?

Finally, I get a bit of luck.My bro is off to Seattle first week of June, and has said he will pick up anything I need.

Now Im desperate for a good zoom for motorsport to complement my D70S.Top vfm seems to be a used 70-300 ED for around £150, but I reckon he could pick up the VR version for a similar price.

What do you think ? Any other ideas ?

Also, anyone know a good 'tog shop in Seattle perchance ?

Hi, The VR feature is only useful when hand holding in low light in theory alowing you to use a slower shutter speed. For panning or other action use it won't help at all. Always go for the fastest lens you can aford (smallest f number). The way the $-£ is great time to buy in the states but check it has an international guarentee, they don't always have.

Nothing wrong with the G version.

Nothing wrong inherently with the G I agree, I just think I would be happier with the ED.
