Hello everyone.

I don't pop up here often! And for good reason, to be totally honest. I've always been a bit ashamed of my car! I love the forum and I'm an absolute car nut but I've always felt my practical and economical peugeot 106 diesel wouldn't quite cut it with the PHEA fleet.

However, that should all be changing as tomorro evening I'm picking up a new car Well, I say new, its 12 years old.
And its another 106. Alas, all is not as mundane as it seems because it's a 106 Rallye, a limited edition homologation special weighing just over 800kg, and this ones got a the engine from its heavier GTI brother too, making it a GTI beater in every sense of the word.

Ok, so its no Ultima or Noble but it's my first proper sporty car. And hopefully Noddy, as it shall now be known, and myself will be showing our faces at some meets soon.

I look forward to meeting everyone (except Darren ) at Holkham.

Hi Bernie - good luck on the car purchase, I wouldn't have worried about the 106 diesel, I frequently turn up in my Smart car with wonky wheels & they haven't got out the burning torches & pitchforks yet....although there is time...eek

See you at Holkham.

Bernie, it's what in your head that counts. When I drive along the A47 in my Uncle's L Reg Fiesta diesel van, sitting comfortably, stuck in a queue of trafic, listening to the radio, I ask myself a question, was my Noble GTO 3 really worth the £52,000 I paid for it four years ago ?

Ah but the whole point of such cars is that they're unjustifiable, which in a bizarre twist of logic is why we have them. spin

HonestBob, your Noble isn't the red one in Postwick is it?

Crisp 500, Noddy is just to get at my girlfriend who has called her Polo 'Percy' (genius... rolleyes ) and as you can see from this pic the Carlton isn't really roadworthy (it even has bullet holes in it!)

Darren, keep quiet about school uniforms, people will get suspicious!
