What time/vmax are achieved by the tuned cars?
It would be good to have an idea of what the performance gain will be before choosing a tuning option.
If the tuned car owners post some figures we can get an idea.
How much would you need to get sub 4 second 0-60 or is traction the limiting factor?

They're fast & quick.

Off the top of my head, and happy to be corrected, the 3 Griffs that ran at the last Vmax were spread between 147 & 157: Uncle Bulgarias was off colour, mine plain ran out of steam at 153 (148 roof down) and the quickest, Simon`s Ballistic Banana was still pulling when he ran out of road, so yes, roll a dice!

For the record, mine (regretfully now passed on to a new owner) measured 260bhp & 287lb/ft on rollers and was an absolutely stock, 36k miler in very good health. Sadly missed.

Don't have any timed figures for my car, but it and also a few other modded Griffs/Chims, are among the quickest on the Sprint event at the annual Continental TVR meeting at Zolder. All TVR types are there, incl Sags, Cerbs etc.
So if the Tuscan S/Sag can do 4.0s to 60 mph (as they should) a well modded Griff can do that too.

Problem is indeed traction; it's pretty difficult to get away without too much spin.

I hope NOT because if the yellow beastie was still pulling hard when it ran out of road it would mean it had crashed off the road! BB's been there before and I'm sure he doesn't want to go there again.

Yes, good point, but no, he wasn`t using the scenery as run-off! To re-phrase: he was still accelerating at the timing beams so understandably he wanted the runway to be longer.....

Oggs had 147mph in his Chim, Mine was stuggling at 151mph with a few problems. I believe a Griff has hit 161mph at V max.
