The T350 was intended at launch to be the successor to the Tuscan racers, the base car for a new race series that would promote the TVR road cars more closely.
PW would have insisted on it being as quick around the track as the Tuscans!

If a T350 race series had been instantly popular, a range-topping expensive 'R' version for road & track use would have been very likely, to be an even higher spec/faster/more hardcore than the later Sagaris.

What are opinions on the spec we'd have wanted for the whole car while staying true to TVR's ethos, for driving long distances on road in proper comfort, while being ahead of all other road-going supercars on track?

the sagaris with a 4.5 or supercharged 4.0 but in a slightly bigger car, ie the typhon?

Yes but... would probably need to be the T350/Sag shape to tie in with the race cars, IMHO, as the T400R/Typhon was a different animal, with Le Mans pedigree of course bow

The question applies equally to the Sagaris.. what more would we like in a more extreme version?

No doubt the Sagaris front aerodynamics are effective, the rear are a little less so, I know several owners are working on this

It'd have to be a TVR T450R

A T350 with a 4.5litre Red Rose AJP8, properly mapped with proper induction and a better considered exhaust set up... Everything rose jointed, aero kit with different stages of downforce, adjustable wider track front and rear wishbone heights for rollcentre adjustment. Maybe a beefier cage too?

I dont think TVR would ever really be that extreme, although a fair few of the owners are thankfully.

All sounds fair to me, AJP8 is a viable alternative to 'charging it... but is there room to fit?

and, could there be an acceptable style of proper adjustable rear wing, that would admittedly be v. helpful for rear downforce/stability?

Hopefully this might meet with your approval, if it was good enough for a certain F1 team it's good enough for the back of our t350

It's a standard shaped shell. the centre part is std TVR as it's based on a production shell from which the front and rear sections were chopped off by a dealer for an accident repair job .. we had new front and rear grafted on but it's std spec so no widening .. it might look wider than std because of the wing (which fits within the plan of the car as per race regs) and maybe it's low ride height too.

Zonda R is quite inspiring...

Could preserve T350's neat styling by harnessing ground effect instead of a wing, large carbonfibre splitter, discreet skirts & large rear diffuser, carbon bonnet & roof ... lick

Anyone good at photoshop?!

Im starting to wonder why you're asking about this...

Hmm, fancy setting up a business like DJC's but for the rest of the TVR range? hehe

Ha!

No, car business not my bag, pleased others can do it.

Mods to Sagaris/T350’s is a very small market so I’ll buy from & support whoever’s got initiative to create small batch of high quality parts that suit the car’s use.

As several of us are hanging on to our T350’s & modifying/upgrading certain parts for durability & track, I was just wondering aloud what (subtle?)mods others would have looked for in an R – if any – so whether we’ll all end up in same place!

Can you share 'ultimate Sag' spec DJC?

Too much time on my hands waiting for my 4.5, I should be out driving
