was driving it yesterday and the typical rainy manchester weather started, but only lightly at first so i put the wipers on intermediate. they decided to travel to the right side, stop for 10 seconds then back again. then decided they would stop anywhere they felt like for any amount of time up to about 10 seconds.

i know what you're thinking, wiper park switch, my thoughts as well. anyways, decided to put them on constant after a few minutes of this intermediate weirdness and they worked perfectly. constant fast also worked perfectly. then back to intermediate and it worked fine as well.

is that the park switch? or is the control box starting to act up?

thanks

Mine does that. I assumed it was TVR's approach to intermittant wipe

Yup I know I have to change my switch - I'm just putting it off.

Definitely the Park switch, mine did the same and I replaced it, now they park correctly. I'm in the middle of doing my DIY guide with photos for reoplacing and servicing the motor, as soon as it is finished I'll post it on here and send it to Dave - aka Byker28i - for him to post on his Website. (Great, useful site by the way Dave)

After a long time trying to get the parts remanufactured for this wiper motor, these and all the parts should be available in the next few weeks. the final part, the amatures should then have been made, If you are in desperate need to keep the car on the road then people can contact me via my profile.

Alan, if whilst your doing your rebuild you need parts/advice then get in touch.

Mine used to do this, when I investigated it, this turned out to be a chaffed wire (yellow) from the limit switch (plastic plug on rear of wiper motor wheel housing) to the motor, wrapped some insulating tape round it and it's fine now.
