Need a little help here, I have removed the rear claipers and discs, removed the top and bottom wishbones, and unbolted drive shaft from the diff.

I now have the hub/upright with the drive shaft attached, if I remove the front four bolts will the bearing assembly and drive shaft pull through the upright to make it far easier to clean and paint up.

I think its a little more complicated than that You should be able to clean it like that (just disconnect the drive shaft ~ its a bit unwieldywith it attached). You can strip them but thats a bearing job & you need 240ftlb torque - poss more to undo....

I read in the bible that you have to mark the shaft so that it goes back in the same place (ie smae bolt holes line up) is this correct or can it just be bolted back on. Also when bolting back to gether shall I just clean out the old grease and replace with new, how much is required and is normal grease OK assume just pack it in and bolt up.
