Every blinking time I go near a bike shop, I come out with something I'd put a lot lower on the options list than the wallet might desire 
Great example - the ex was off to New York for a few days, so clever old me thought I'd save a couple of quid, and get myself some nice Joe Rocket gloves with a nice dollar/pound rate.
Not being completely eejit-shaped, I went into Infinity in Chelsea to try them on, got chatting to the nice manager about why I was playing with his nice £140 gloves with no intention of buying them, when he matched the dollar price, plus a fiver. Result for me, but again, walked out with more things than I needed. Not managed an Arai yet though

Went in for a cheap lid, spent £180 (yes I know, that IS cheap to some of you

Last time I went in I wanted some summer gloves. Tried on almost every pair in the shop (at ten to 5 on a Saturday!). Bought some. A week later I found the receipt and discovered I'd spent £55. Never even noticed the price when I was in there, I was having so much fun winding up the staff They were probably £20 gloves though...
