Richbrook replacement gear knob for an S2...

Went for the plain alloy round one and it doesn't fit. My gear stick is to large for the hole (so to speak!)

Anyone had this issue and possibly has a work-around?

i fitted the plain alloy ball from a ford puma, it is the same thread and screw straight on.

Does the stick have a shroud on it to make it wider. When I took off the crappy one that was in the car when I bought it there was a metal collar screwed onto the factory thread which the knob fitted on. The hole of the alloy knob was too small. Had to use a pair of mole grips to get the metal shroud off.

Sorry Roy, that was more of a reply to Borat - should have quoted him. Good to know about the Puma fitment though. Assume it the same for all Fords?

Cheers for that, removed metal shroud and now have a nice shiny knob...........
