looking for a wedge

Hi all
New to this forum so be gentle with me. I have finally saved my money like a good boy and am now ready to buy a good wedge. I have set a top level of £5000.00 but hope to find one a bit cheaper than this. Condition and history is important because i wish to buy and enjoy with little effort. Dont get me wrong, i can quite happily get dirty, I have run a TR7 DHC in the past and know all about taking bits off and putting them back on again. Any advise for buying, or recommendations of any great cars which may be for sale would be greatly received.
Are there any wedge owners around the Bradford area??.

Well for 5K (or just below) - I think any 350i would be possible .. and that should cover the most original minters or restored cars.
I also think most 390 SE would be in budget..
400SE - also in budget sort of middle to lower end of the market ..
Best advise would be to come to BBWF and look at the cars and talk with the owners.. I'm sure people would be happy to offer a passenger seat drive round the block..

Hi sparky - am considering selling my 350i convertible because I just have too many cars. I can email pics / details if you're interested - I live in Bury so not far from Bradford. No strings attached, as the car is attracting a lot of interest!

For a budget of £5k, I'd be VERY tempted with this one:

Its cat d repaired (minor damage) but this wouldn't put me off in the slightest. With a car of this age, present condition is everything.
This car is a rare 350se. Only 25 were made (numbers 1 - 26 as there was no number 13). It has the 4.0 engine and being rarer than a 350i should hold its value better as long as its kept in decent condition.
Good luck with the hunt - if you really do want a wedge, please remember that the "right" car is rarly on your doorstep and you have to be prepared to travel to view a few of them before you might find one you like.
