Tesco is pants. Specialist insurers are taking the p1ss with their 10% excess scam.

On the basis that it appears to be an event when you drive the car in the rain, do you honestly expect less than 10% excess should you track it?

Most of the usual suspects among insurance companies seem to insist on 10% cover...doesn't strike me as too unreasonable really.

I have heard good things on here about Aon. From memory I beleive you get so many trackdays free, then anymore you want to do they can cover at a reasonable rate.
No doubt someone will be on shortly with the finer details.
Simon.

A Manning worked out best for me as they alowed me to do as many track days as i liked. They were not the cheapest but fairly close and my excess is 1k and not 10%.

Only conditions are £750 increase in excess and events must NOT be competitive.

I was under the impression it was 10% of insured vehicles value......certainly is with Aon according to my paperwork.

Sorry I posted earlier recommending Aon, having now read the other posts its A Manning that seems to get all the praise round here as far as track days go. Off now to give some poor advise elsewhere. Chocolate fireguard anyone?

Yes, I have just renewed through A.Manning, you need PCGB membership, but then unlimited trackdays with above company's and £750 excess on top of my normal £350 excess, slightly more expensive than the others, but the trackday excess swung it for me! (some charge a premium per trackday too)

I'm with Aon, but I guess A manning will get a call when renewal time is here.

Not sure if still the same but years ago I always used Norwich Union as at the time their policies were unlimited track days.

aon - 5 free days (more are approx 0.1% of vehicle value each), excess is 10% of vehicle value, have to inform them a few days before

IIRC Goldtrack are members of ATDO, Motorsportvision are not. Check on the ATDO website for the members list.
