Wiper Blades

I need a new wiper arm & blade - I've seen on earlier posts that a rear wiper from a fiesta does the job but which model & year are we talking about? Can't believe I binned the old one by accident....

Looking at the parts list I have it's shown as Ford part number 5012753 from a Transit.

Just checked my car and the blade measures 20 inches and has a side mounted pin fixing (no makers name or part number on it)

ISTR the wiper motor is a Lucas generic 16W unit used on many British cars of the late 70's/ early 80's although the precise setup determines the arc that the blade sweeps. Interestingly, the Wedge/TR7 headlamp motor started life as the E-type Jag's wiper motor...

Just checked the wonderful Wedge Pages parts list and that gives the below numbers albiet for the 280i

Wiper motor LUCAS 75859A or 75754 280i
Wiper wheelbox LUCAS 72923A 280i
Wiper rack LUCAS 743209 Cut to 23 5/32" 280i
Wiper arm - 54725111 280i
Wiper blade - 54724225 280i

Best bet will be to visit Halfords with your wiper arm, I'm sure they will find one to fit.
