Hi All,

Absolutely no point to this thread whatsoever buuut.
Was reading MCN and noticed just how well the Triumph 675 fared against some heavy ol competition.
Anyone ridden or even own one of these mini-monsters?? What do you think?
I'm normally a big BHP fan but they do seem rather special.

I had a nigh on 2 hour test ride on the 675 from the Truimph dealers in wellingborough...i loved it and im more used to "big" bikes.

It handled superbly, made a fantastic noise and had more than enough grunt to make it useable on the road.

the only thinsg that would put me off are the well reported oil burning issues and i dont think the styling will remain "fresh" for long.

Id certainly go for one over any jap 600 thou

yeah i have heard they have a bit of a thirst for oil.
I know they're very angular looking but im rather taken with it and for a track day i recon would be alot of fun.

However i do like my grunt.. so to speak so would be interesting if i got bored with one quite quickly

Now that is interesting.. How do you find being on a smaller capacity bike compared to the blade?

A very quick mate of mine has one as a track bike - he absolutely loves it. His other bike is an RSVR Mille.

the 675 is down on power obviously but it will outhandle just about anything else on the road (in stock form) it will pull in top gear from 30, 40 mph, the bike is really punchy plenty of torque . Once you hit those twisty roads its just as fast as a litre bike if not faster, the turn in is so quick and plenty of punch without having to be right up the rev range all in all its alot more fun to ride than a litre bike only thing faster on the back roads is a ktm as im sure all sports bike riders will find
