I've managed to break my heater. ...any clues folks...

As ever, hamfisted silverback has broken something..
The screen demist blows hot, but the heater controls don't blow hot.
Cable come off maybe?
It's a 944 turbo with airconditioning, not sure when it broke as I haven't used it due to the hot weather but it must be simple as it's still blowing hot when the screen demist button is prodded.
I have taken the panel out, but it's a bunch of electrical connectors. I presume it may be a glovebox off job, and hopefully not a dashboard off job. If it is I'll just keep the demister as a heater.

I'll resist suggesting you should have bought a 928 The screen demist blows hot, but the heater controls don't blow hot.

When my XJS started doing that, turned out to be the vaccuum controller. There was a leak in normal mode which meant it didn't suck the water-valve into the right position. In demist mode, the leaking pipe was closed off so the vaccuum built up enough to open the heater valve. My 928 has a similar issue when I first got it. Paul hit it somewhere under the dash and 18 months on it is still fine!
That doesn't work, I didn't expect it to on this age of car. It's built for the older gas which is no longer available (?R12). The compressor works, but guess it's just empty so as far as I'm aware the costs to upgrade to the newer gas isn't worth it due to it needing new seals etc etc.
Not really a problem to be honest but some directable warm air would be a bonus when it gets a bit colder.
